Employment
Photo Communication Services, Inc.
President — Years Employed (1970 - Present)
Michigan & Hawai'i (International Clientele)

Visual and Audio Communication for international clientele. I bought my first camera when I was fourteen years old; my first darkroom when I was fifteen. Ever since my life and career has been focused on visual communication.

My professional communication career began at an ABC affiliate television station, and grew into one of the regions most effective visual communication production enterprises. I have produced a wide variety of still photos, films, videos, and audio programming for broadcast, commercial and industrial use in the private and non-profit sectors. If it has to do with film (including theatrical releases), there is a pretty good likelyhood that I have been there, done that, and had a wonderful time doing it.

Utopian Empire Creativeworks
President — Years Employed (1970 - Present)
Michigan, Illinois & Hawai'i (International Clientele)

My motto has been, "Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations for people who care enough to know the difference." In my heart, I have always embraced that belief that I am only as good as my last job. Since 1970 conveying a client’s message in a wide variety of media, through good design and the effective communication skills has been my vocation and passion.

Many people ask “why our name?” As you may have noticed, our business locations tend to be located in idyllic places such as Traverse City Michigan and Kapa`a Hawai`i, hence the “Utopian” part of the name. Our first office was opened in “Empire” Michigan. Of course “Creativeworks” is used as a verb. It is what we do well for clients around the world.

We Are Traverse City, Inc. / We Are Michigan
Chair — Years Served (2000 - Present)
Traverse City, Michigan

Creating a safe and livable community for all... We Are Traverse City, Inc. hosts public forums (often broadcasting them live) wherein we discuss great issues that impact our lives and communities.

The organization began during a particularly turbulent time politically in Traverse City. I had the idea, that an organization should exist to help facilitate timely and meaningful discussions about important issues of the day. From its conception, this idea has been very successful in creating understanding and healthy growth in the community. I remain involved in public policy creation and development, and engage in consultation worldwide.
