Schalamar Creek is a traditional neighborhood which offers the security of a gated entrance and the openness and convenience of a village. This private, 500-acre estate is rich in trees, waterways and natural beauty. The charm of the nature preserve and bird sanctuaries is what attracts residents to Schalamar Creek.
The neighborhood offers residents beautiful tree-lined streets - the landscape is filled with mature oak trees - and the developers work to preserve the ecological balance by saving every tree possible. The community is a nature lover's paradise with wooded, waterfront and golf course home sites.
Championship Golf
Schalamar Creek also boasts one of the area's finest golf courses. This Ron Garl-designed 18-hole championship golf course can challenge even the most experienced golfer as well as introduce someone new to the game to a wonderful experience. Tournaments are held throughout the year for fun, trophies and cash prizes.
A full-time PGA teaching pro and two PGA apprentices are on staff.
In The Middle Of It All
Shopping in nearby Lakeland is easy and fun. Choose from several major department stores and more than 100 specialty stores at the Lakeland Mall and the Winter Haven Mall, both within nine miles of the community. Many of our residents who favor fine home cooked meals enjoy the farmers market just down the road.
At Schalamar Creek Golf & County Club, you will enjoy all of the advantages of a small town, with the excitement of Tampa and Orlando 45 miles away. Tampa offers excellent shopping at Old Hyde Park Village, a day of fun at Busch Gardens theme park and sight-seeing at the Ybor City Historic District. Orlando attractions include Walt Disney World, Epcot and Universal Studios. The pristine Gulf Beaches are a 55 mile drive to the west.
